onCarConfigurationChanged

Records a change of the car's day/night mode in mapState.

The host calls this only when its configuration changes after the session was created. The mode the session starts with is read separately, when the session is created, started and re-opened: a mode that never changes — one forced in the car's settings, for instance — never arrives here.
