# stopGuidance

Command (Guidance).

Stops the current navigation

Ends the current guidance session. BeNav stops giving instructions and returns to tracking mode,
where it keeps showing the vehicle's position on the map without directing it anywhere.

This is the client application cancelling a journey it started (a job withdrawn, a round
re-planned, a driver sent elsewhere) as opposed to the driver stopping navigation themselves, which
arrives as [`onGuidanceStopped`](https://docs.benomad.com/benav-rnc/notifications/on-guidance-stopped.md).

**Worth knowing**

- If no guidance is running the command returns `7 not.in.guidance`.
- The map stays on screen and keeps following the vehicle; this ends the route, it does not close
  the application.
