# hideApp

Command (Application).

Puts the application in the background

Sends BeNav to the background, handing the screen back to whichever application was there before.
The counterpart of [`showApp`](https://docs.benomad.com/benav-rnc/commands/show-app.md): together they let a client application decide which of the
two is in front at any moment.

Guidance is unaffected: BeNav keeps navigating and keeps sending notifications while hidden.
